Like a fish to water…

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

So it’s been a big week and we’ve been pretty busy. It just never stops here. Over the past weekend, we had our very good friends, the Kletts, come and visit from Center Point, IA. Philip and Lynn drove up over the weekend on Saturday morning and brought along a crib and dresser for us. As I write this, Angela is filling the dresser with all of the NB – 3 month clothes. Philip was my roommate in college (Go Panthers!) and the best man in our wedding. I took them in to see the kids after their arrival and Angela stayed home with Meredith. After we left, I took them on a brief tour of Minneapolis. We saw the new Twins baseball stadium and the new Gopher football stadium. Both look amazing. I can’t wait to watch the Hawkeyes come up here and give the Gophers a beating! Lynn made homemade pizza for dinner and then we put Meredith down for bed. I started a fire in my fire pit in the backyard and we finished a very late night out there. They took off early on Sunday morning. Thank you guys! Philip, I look forward to beating your a** in fantasy football again this year. Lynn, thank you for tolerating our childish ways.

On Monday afternoon my parents arrived at the house. They helped us get some things finished so that we can be prepared for kids to come home. The baby room is now painted and decorative border should be hung by the end of the week. They also helped with some additional painting in the stairwell that I had failed to get to during the remodeling job in the basement. Oma handled dinner duty both nights which allowed me to get some work done in my home office and Angela to spend some additional time with the kids at the hospital. As I mentioned earlier, Brook, Lauren, and Alex were transferred back to Abbott on Monday. They also got the carpet shampooed in the nursery and after things dried up, we moved inside the four cribs that had been filling half of our garage (I think we have one more coming). Lastly, Oma and Opa came to the house bearing gifts. They had picked up some of the diapers and wipes that had been left at the First Reformed Church in Rock Rapids. They have a diaper drive going for us, and we nearly have every inch of free space in the closet filled. There’s a ton of diapers in there, but there aren’t enough to get through two months. I really want to thank everyone back in Rocky for the help. I can’t put in to words how much Angela and I appreciate the support! Oma and Opa took off this morning for the long drive back to Rock Rapids. Thank you so much for your help. Things are really starting to shape up here at the house. That brings me to my next talking point.

Some people have been asking about how we’re gonna do this and here’s a snapshot of what we’ve done to prepare. Angela and I live in a split level home. On the main floor, we have a living room/kitchen/dining space in one large room with a vaulted ceiling. We also have a bathroom and two bedrooms (Meredith’s room and the new nursery). In our basement, we have another large living space, another bathroom, our bedroom, and the laundry/storage room. We moved the main living room to the basement where I also have my home office and a spare bed for visitors. Not much privacy, but better than nothing. The living room on the main floor has been converted to “baby land” where we have 4 rockers and a couch for people to hold/feed/rock babies. We also have some storage and a changing table in the main area. We picked up a dry erase board today so that we can keep important info on all the kids visible for anyone in the room such as what are they wearing so we know who’s who, is anyone on meds, formula and feeding info, and any other important info. We’re still sorting through some clothes and going through some organizational things, but we’re getting pretty set. So when are the kids coming home?

As I mentioned in my brief post late last night, the kids really hit some major milestones this week but we don’t have a detailed timeline yet. The major deal this week has been the move over to ANW for Brooklyn, Lauren and Alex so I’ll start with them and close with Emma and Madeline.

Brooklyn is doing great! They will be removing her pulse oximeter tonight. That is the device that measures her oxygen levels. Her breathing has been so consistent that they don’t feel that she needs it, and she will be the only one to have it removed right now. Today was her first introduction to a bottle. She’s affectionately been given the nickname “Chow Hound” by the nursing staff. She took to the bottle like a fish to water. Her bottle was 1.5 oz., but that was the only bottle she got as she got the rest of her feedings via her tube. They’re just trying to get her warmed up to the idea of a bottle for right now. I’d say it was a good start. Today she weighed in at 4 lbs., 10 oz. If she keeps this up, she’ll be home before we know it.

Lauren didn’t do quite as well as her sister with a bottle, but it wasn’t a bad first try. She was able to get down a half of an ounce before they decided that that was enough. They gave her the left over formula by her feeding tube and the rest of her feedings were via her tube. Her weight is great too as she weighed in today at 4 lbs., 4 oz.

Alex is doing really well. Philip described him as a “bruiser” when he saw him over the weekend. His bottle feeding really didn’t go well, as he only took 3 mL’s, which is about a tenth of an ounce. Angela just said that they couldn’t get him awake enough to want to take it. He’s our heaviest and the first to join the “5 Pound Club.” Way to go Alex!!! He weighed in today at 5 lbs., 2 oz.

Emma is still back in the NICU at Children’s which is just fine. She is doing really well and still off her canula. That’s a huge milestone and we’re so happy. Emma and Madeline will not get bottle feedings until they join the other three over at ANW so all of their feedings will continue to be via their tubes. She weighed in at 3 lbs., 10 oz.

Lastly, Madeline is doing so well. Like Emma, she is off her canula and continues to do awesome. She will wait until her transfer for a bottle but continues to gain weight. Today she weighed in at 4 lbs., 12 oz.

Angela and I couldn’t be more pleased with how well the kids are doing. We’ve been so blessed. We want to thank everyone for your continued positive thoughts, support and prayers.

Until next time…

Moving Day

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Yesterday was moving day for the Tille Family, or at least for some of the kids. I got a phone call on Monday morning from the neonatologist on call at Children’s. He just wanted to advise me that they had room at Abbott Northwestern in the Special Care Nursery for 3 of the kids and the other two would follow in the next day or two. This nursery is the next step in process to get the kids discharged and finally home. Basically, the kids are all stable now and they just need to learn to eat from a bottle and fatten up. Once they can display that they can eat full meals w/o complication and breathe w/o complication while in a car seat, they’ll be on the way home. They will start the bottle feeding tomorrow morning while Angela is there. It’s late as I type this after a very long day so this is gonna be a quick post. I’ll try to have a better update after we hear how our first day with a bottle goes.

So who went over…Brooklyn, Lauren and Alex made the trip through the tunnel. Emma and Madeline stayed behind. Emma and Madeline had been a little behind on their breathing compared to the other 3 so they were the ones chosen to stay back. However, they’re doing very well. Emma and Madeline had their canulas removed today and did very well. That’s right; all five of them are w/o any oxygen assistance. It’s truly been a great week for their development. We expect that all of them will be together by end of the week.

The move and the removal of the canulas were very big steps and I don’t mean to underscore it by the short post, it’s just been very busy this week. I’ll have more detail later this week.

Until then…

All five at once!!!

Friday, July 24th, 2009

A big THANK YOU to Nancy (one of the awesome nurses working in the NICU) for taking pictures of Angela while holding ALL 5 of the kids at once. Click here to see the most recent pics. I know who’s who…Do you?

Angela asked me to hurry and download the pics tonight. She wanted to see all of them spread across her lap on a bigger screen. When she saw the picture she said, “I can’t believe I carried all of them at once.” I hope it starts to sink in soon. They’ll be coming home before you know it.

Enjoy the pics.

Until next time…

I guess we’re popular…or at least the numbers say so.

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

I know a lot of people read this blog pretty regularly, but I guess I didn’t really get how committed people are to it. I guess I should…I’ve seen the numbers. I had my computer guys help me with a report to see if I’m just writing this all for myself or if people are really looking at it. Thanks Matt! I was a bit surprised how many people are following us. It’s kind of embarrassing but now I feel a sense of pressure to “perform.” I’m kidding and no urology jokes please. As of July 15, we had nearly 200,000 hits to our site (just in July) with an average of 13,000 a day and 545 per hour. Although its spread out pretty well throughout the day, I know that the time of the day with the most traffic on our little family website is when people get to work during the 8 am hour. Shame on you!!! Get back to work. Hits have come from all over the world. Not kidding. So I guess I shouldn’t be blown away by the number of people that I’ve seen or talked to this week that have asked me about when I’m gonna put up another post (or more importantly) add some more pictures of the kids to the site. Here’s the post, but I’m sorry that I don’t have any new pictures. I’ll address my lack of pictures shortly, but I want to get to some of our updates on the kids from the week. So, as usual, I’ll go around the room.

Brooklyn has had a good week. She continues to do well with her breathing. No assistance needed. Her feedings are going well. She’s (like all of them) still on the feeding tube and getting a little more than an ounce every 3 hours. She weighed in today at 4 lbs., 3 oz. The big deal for Brooklyn is that she was transferred to a new isolet this week where the top can be raised so that she’s in room air. This is a big step because it tells us that she can maintain her body heat.

Lauren is next in the room. Like Brooklyn, her breathing and feedings are going extremely well. She isn’t quite as heavy, but growing none the less. She weighed in today at 3 lbs., 14 oz. You’ll see a trend in a minute, but Lauren was also moved in to a new isolet and her top has been raised up.

Alex is doing awesome! I’ve affectionately started calling him Duce. Angela doesn’t necessarily like it, but has been tolerating it so far. I’m not sure how long my name calling will last. She feels the same way about me calling him “fatty” this week. Before you all fly off the handle, please know that this kid is packing it on. Alex weighed in today at 4 lbs., 9 oz. See what I mean about the “fatty” thing? Alex is still wearing a canula for his breathing, but doing very well. Alex is not in an isolet as they moved him to a crib. Holy crap, we’re gonna have babies home sooner than later!

Since the day she was born, Emma has been the smallest. That’s no different today. Emma weighed in today at 3 lbs., 4 oz. Your first reaction may be, “it sure doesn’t seem like she’s doing quite as well as the others.” However, when you consider total weight gain, she’s doing just as well as all of the others. Emma is still in her isolet with the top down and on a canula for her breathing, but doing extremely well otherwise. Her feedings are going well and she’s eating nearly as much per feeding as the others even though she’s so much smaller.

Madeline is the 5th spot in the room. The room is set up horseshoe style and it starts from left to right. She is still on her canula for breathing, but its set at the lowest setting. Like the others, she is eating very well. She weighed in today at 4 lbs., 5.5 oz. So if you look at all the weights, you’ll see that we have three, 4 pounders. Sounds kind of like a fishing reference, doesn’t it?

I just spent the past 30 minutes writing this long song and dance about why we don’t have updated photos. After reading it over, I decided that my story and attempt at humor sucked so I deleted it. We don’t have pictures because we haven’t brought the camera along this week. Not on purpose; just forgot. Ever forget something, we did? Frankly, I haven’t seen the kids much lately since I’ve been back to work. Angela goes in every day, but I’ve only been there long enough to hold the kids just once in the past two weeks. We’ll get something taken over the weekend.

It’s like old times tonight as I’m home alone with Meredith tonight. After dinner, Angela took off for the city as she’s staying overnight at the hospital tonight with the kids. After dinner, I gave Meredith her bath, played for a while, got her to bed, finished the dishes, and started typing while watching the Twins. I am terribly inefficient when the game is on in the background. However, I’m happy because I get to sprawl out in my bed again. Yea. I’m taking Friday off from work. I’ll be painting the new baby room. These kids are coming home sooner than later and its scaring the hell out of me!

Travel safely Klett family. Looking forward to seeing you guys this weekend!!! Alex, get ready. Coach Klett is coming. I hope he’s nicer to you than he is to me. Can’t wait guys.

Until next time…

Yea, 1 Month Old!!!

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Happy Birthday Kids!!! That’s right; today they turned 1 month old. Man time really flies. I don’t really know how to express all the feelings that we’ve experienced over the past month. We’ve dealt with fear and worry that something may go horribly wrong. We’ve felt the incredible job that brings you to tears. I’ve never felt exhaustion like I did the night following the birth. I collapsed that night on an air mattress in Angela’s empty hospital room into a slumber that would make a bear in hibernation jealous. The constant pressure and worry of providing for a very large family (I’m a bit fearful that that emotion isn’t gonna go away for a while). More recently, the pressures of trying to prepare for what we have coming while still trying to do my job at the same time. Nothing ever stands still here, or at least it hasn’t for a very long time. With all that said, I think we’re starting to get used to it (just a tiny bit).

This weekend we had some more visitors. My mother, two of my brothers and their “better halves” made the trip to River Falls on Friday night. Robert and Gwen left their daughter behind to stop by to see the kids for the second time. Eric and his girlfriend Jessica made their first trip up to see the kids. They brought some things with them which allowed us to get a start on getting the house in order for the kids to come home. We now have 3 cribs out in the garage. We’re expecting two more in the near future from some friends. My goal is to get the nursery painted up in the next couple weeks and all of the stuff brought in the house from the garage. Our garage has basically been a storage shed for a month now. My mom also brought a couple more rocking chairs. That brings that total up to 4 plus a couch up in “baby land.” The room is really starting to take shape and I’d say that we’re pretty well set on the major furniture needs for the room. They also brought along a variety of donations from a variety of supporters from the Rock Rapids area. Thank you all so much!

On Saturday morning we went in to see the kids. They’re growing so much, but still so small. The most recent pictures online are a week or two old, but they really don’t give you a good feeling for how small they still are. As an example, Emma’s arm is the same size as my ring finger. I have not tried, but I’m convinced that I could slide my wedding ring up to her shoulder without any obstruction. Their ears are about the size of my thumbnail. With that said, they’re still doing really well. Some things have really changed since my last post so I’ll give some general updates that took place for everyone and then I’ll go around the room.

Everyone is doing well with his/her feedings, but the feedings have changed a bit. In the past, they were on a continuous drip through a feeding tube that goes through their noses into their bellies. Now, they’re all on a 3-hour feeding schedule. They’re getting all of their food over the course of about 30 minutes and then not getting any more for a few hours. A 3-hour feeding schedule is normal for regular babies. The next step is to get them to feed with a bottle, which might happen sometime this week. The reason that they’re not bottle feeding yet is because the brain isn’t developed enough at this age to be able to suck and breathe at the same time. As you might imagine, that could be a bit of a problem.

Brooklyn weighed in today 3 lbs, 14 oz. She, like all of them, is getting about an ounce per feeding. She’s doing really well with her breathing without any assistance. Brooklyn had a little highlight this week as her mother gave her a bath.

Lauren is also doing well. Like Brooklyn, she’s getting an ounce per feeding and breathing remarkably well without any assistance. She weighed in today at 3 lbs, 8 oz and got to do a little kangaroo care with her mother AND brother. That’s an awesome segway as we go to Alex.

The biggest change this week took place with Alex. Alex was removed from his isolette to a crib this week. That’s right, just an open crib. Alex is still wearing his nasal canual, but growing like a weed. He weighed in today at 4 lbs, 3 oz.

Emma is still the smallest, but doing really well. She is at the same pace with her siblings with her feedings. The big highlight this week for Emma is that she is now part of the “3-Pounder Club.” She weighed in at 3 lbs, 1.5 oz. Like Alex, she’s also on a nasal canual, but doing exceptionally well otherwise.

Lastly, Madeline is growing at the fastest pace. She joined the “4-Pound Club” as she weighed in at 4 lbs even today. She is still on a canula, but is doing well. They took her off it last night and into today for 12 hours. She was starting to get tired so they put it back on her this afternoon. Madeline, like Alex, was also moved into a new bed this week. Her new isolette has a removable top and they took that off today for a while.

As you can tell, they’ve obviously made some huge strides over just the past week. I almost forgot and I can’t remember whether or not I’ve written about this or not, but they all passed their vision test. The test basically told us that there are no issues present, but their eyes are still considered premature so the risk is not gone yet. They also had a second brain ultrasound that came back clear. It’s so amazing how far they’ve come. We’ve truly been blessed.

Until next time…

Updated list

Hello,

Please be advised that I updated the list a bit. I’ll have a new post with updates on the kids soon.

Thank you Oma, Robert, Gwen, Eric and Jessica!!!

Brad, Jill and Braden; sorry that we’re not around today.

Until next time…

Thank you Sandra and Molly

I want to take everyone’s time again to plug another company and their product line. I’ll have a brief update on the kids in this post so you’ll have to read through it to find out how things are progressing.

I get a lot of packages at my house from UPS. As a sales rep, anytime something leaves our corporate office with my name on it, I get a nice brown box at my door the following day. It’s nice, but it isn’t quite as special as it used to be. Let me explain…when I was young, I used to think that getting anything in the mail was awesome. I never got anything in the mail, but out of the blue, some crappy sales envelope from Highlights Magazine or Sports Illustrated would show up in my parent’s mail box with my name on it. It was crap, but it had my name on it and someone sent it to me and that was awesome. I got something!!! Yeah! Maybe I’m a bit “off”, but everyone was like that as a kid, right? I hear crickets chirping…so anyway. So as I got older, anytime I got something from UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, etc; I’d think to myself “Oooo, what’s in the box and who’d send it to me?” Well, after nearly 10 years of getting boxes at my door several times a week and being totally disappointed nearly every time, you might say that the joy and excitement has worn off. Now it’s a hassle and a thorn in my side. The door bell rings, the dog goes coo-coo for coco puffs, Meredith wakes up from her nap, I gotta go grab that box, haul it in, find out that the stuff is crap for work that needs to go in the garage, I gotta haul it out there, and then deal with the chaos upstairs. This week, there were many boxes at my door, more than the usual. My job has changed a little bit recently and I’m selling a wider variety of products now. As a result, I’m getting many more samples, but one box was a bit different. That old feeling was starting to come back. This isn’t from Coloplast; it’s from Maryland…who’s Sandra Magsamen? Angela then asked who she was. Hell, I didn’t know. Now we do.

I don’t “know” Sandra, but from what I can tell from our brief email correspondence and what I’ve read about her, she’s seems like a wonderful person. Molly Lujan, a college friend who happens to live in the Minneapolis area (also a wonderful person), reached out and contacted Sandra via her company website. www.sandramagsamen.com Molly told Sandra about our blessings and asked if she could help out. Molly went ahead and did this on our behalf without my knowledge. I found out all of this after the fact. It’s hard to explain what Sandra does as she has done and accomplished so much as an author, designer, artist, plus so much more. Just look over her website. It’s truly inspiring. Here’s what she did for us: she sent us some items from her clothing line, some plaques for the wall in the nursery and a couple items for Meredith including a book. Sandra went overboard a bit, but we’ll take it! This is very nice stuff; onesies, outfits, blankets, jammies, etc. According to her site, it looks like you can find her stuff at JCPenny and WalMart. I’d like you all to see a copy of my last email correspondence with Sandra.

“Dear Heath,
Thank you for your kind note. Yes Molly did write to me and I was happy to share with your family my designs and art.

I design my collection for babies to share the messages we all want to impart with our children- a hope for a joy filled life, a wish for happiness and a dream that they will grow to be all that they can be.
Your site is great and must be a wonderful resource for your family and friends.

Please feel free to link to my site if you would like. (I asked for her permission)

I recently wrote a piece for a publication about kindness and giving and I think it is contagious so I would love to encourage others to do what they can do too.

“A basic, wonderful truth about all people is that through our choices and actions, we can and do make the world a better place.

We don’t have to do huge things to make a big difference. Even the smallest kindness has the power to resonate through this sometimes difficult and troubled world.

Individual acts of kindness and generosity of spirit change the world. Kindness is magical and contagious. A single smile brings on another smile; a good morning invites another greeting. Thoughtfulness, consideration, and care enhance our well-being and others’, too.”

All my best to you and your beautiful BIG family.

Sandra”

As Angela and I have gone through this journey over the past several months, we’ve met and dealt with some wonderful people. Sandra and Molly are two of them. Thank you both so much.

Now…the kids…they’re all doing awesome! Weights are up and continue to climb. The staff at Children’s was talking yesterday about trying a couple of the kids in a different type of bed; one where the top could be lifted off if they maintain their body temp well enough to not need to be in an isolet. I guess we’ll see today when we go in for a visit. All of them had their first vision test yesterday. At this time, there are no major issues with the vision of any of them. God has been smiling down on us. Their eyes are still premature and issues could still develop, but it isn’t likely at this stage. They will have another vision test in two weeks.

Lastly, I’d like to give everyone a little perspective on the kids. I put some new pictures of all of them on the site earlier this week. They look so good and they’re starting to look like babies instead of aliens, but they’re still incredibly small. When you look back at some of the pictures, please notice the size of the pacifier compared to their heads. That’s a regular pacifier. There is a little toy in each of their beds. Emma has the pink pig. That toy is only 5 inches tall and it looks as big as she it. I only share this to give a little dose of reality to the situation. I don’t want the pictures to be misleading. My brother Brad told me a couple weeks ago when they were here, “Babies aren’t supposed to be that small.”

Anyway, now that I’ve blown my personal 1000 word rule that I have when writing these posts out of the water, I’ll let you all go. Please note that I will be working on changes to the site, hopefully this weekend, to have info on the “how to help” page about volunteering when the kids come home.

Until next time…

A few more things off the list

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Hey everyone.

I just wanted to reach out and thank everyone for their tremendous generosity during these times. So many people have come to the plate and hit home runs, even complete strangers or people we haven’t spoken with for years. Please note that a few more things have been crossed off the list and it’s been updated again.

Thank you so much to everyone!

By the way, the kids are doing awesome. Its early as I write this and I haven’t gotten the morning update yet. I didn’t get to see them yesterday as it was a busy work day, but Angela was there and spent time with them. No real “news” today as there haven’t been any changes. The only thing of note is that we have a new leader in the clubhouse with weight. Please keep in mind that their weight fluctuates every day. As an example, Alex lost 50 grams and Madeline gained 80 grams yesterday. That’s normal and could go the other way today. Madeline is now the heaviest, followed closely by Alex, then Brooklyn, Lauren, and Emma. The order may change today.

Again, thank you so much to everyone!

Until next time…

New Pictures

We now have some updated photos of the kids where they don’t look too much like aliens. Click here to take a peek. If I may…man, we make good lookin kids!!!

Until next time…

As promised…

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Hello,

We hope everyone had a nice weekend. It was particularly nice here in River Falls. The weather was fabulous. We had some family in town and it was River Falls Days so we had a chance to get out of the house a little bit. However the preparations at home didn’t pause for very long. Angela is hard at work as I’m typing this out.

River Falls Days is similar to most small community summer festivals. There’s a parade, a tractor pull, a carnival, and a variety of other things. I’m sure that I just did a huge disservice to the greater RF community with my brief and poor description of how wonderful the event really is. I apologize. On Friday night, we went to the parade, or at least some of it. We got there a little early so we listened to a band in front of our church (Ezekiel Lutheran). Meredith had a ball.

Merdith dancing at the parade

Merdith dancing at the parade

She danced (or at least tried) and when each song would end, she would throw up her arms and yell out “All done.” It’s a common phrase at our house. She had a pretty good time as the parade got going, but her impatience boiled to the top and we had to leave early.

On Saturday morning, Angela left the house early to go in and spend some time with the kids. She got to hold most of them while I stayed back at the house with Meredith. Meredith and I did a ton of work around the house. Around lunch time our guests arrived. Grandma (Angela’s mother), Great G-pa (Angela’s maternal grandfather), and Morgan and Katie (Angela’s sisters) all made the trip up north. I did a little grilling for lunch and then we made the trek into the city so that they could all take a peek at the kids. The kids are all doing awesome. They’re conditions are just like how you want an airline flight to go, unremarkable. Here’s the run down. Sorry, I didn’t get the pictures that I promised. We’ll try to get new ones tomorrow.

Brooklyn is doing very well since her little episode last weekend. She’s doing well on her feedings and breathing like a normal baby. She weighed in today at 3 lbs, 6 oz.

Lauren is the newest member to the 3 pound club as she weighed in today at 3 pounds even. Like Brook, she’s breathing w/o any assistance and doing great.

Alex is the biggest of the group. He weighed in at 3 lbs, 9.5 oz. Even when he’s just in his diaper, I know it’s him as he has the darkest hair out of anyone in the group. Alex still wears a nasal canula, but is doing fine.

What can I say about Emma? She’s so much bigger now compared to when she was born. They’re all filling out so much. The quantity might not seem like much at all, but we’re talking about gaining 30-40% of their body weight in a few weeks. Emma is up to 2 lbs, 10 oz. She is also on a nasal canula, but doing very well otherwise.

Madeline will complete our little update on the kids. By percentage, she has grown the most. She’s gonna be fighting Alex for the heaviest pretty soon. Today she checked in at 3 lbs, 7 oz. Outside her canula, she’s just great.

Like I said, there isn’t much to report. There’s a lot of chatter about moving them to the Special Care Nursery back over at ANW, but the unit is full, so they’re gonna stay in the NICU until space becomes available.

To close out our nice weekend, we had a wonderful dinner on Saturday night. Meredith called it a night a little early as she didn’t get a nap. She was a bit owlly by the time 8:00 rolled around. I made a big breakfast for everyone this morning and then Angela and I took off for church. Angela’s family left shortly after lunch and we had a nice afternoon at home. During Meredith’s afternoon nap, Angela took a well deserved nap at the same time and I went out to the garage to sort through our many recent acquisitions. We picked up several things this week, hence a change to our needs list. Please note the changes. If you’re looking around for things on our behalf (I know you garage sale shoppers are out there); please, please, please take note of the changes to our list and get a hold of us if you have questions as to our specific needs.

Additionally, if you’re from the River Falls community and reading this, please stay tuned as there will be some changes to the website soon to announce upcoming plans and organization for volunteers.

Until next time…
